There's a beautiful subtlety to this book behind repressed feelings, and the differentiation between good attention and bad. When we act out it's for attention - and this book illustrates this concept beautifully. On the flipside, it also works quite well as a metaphor for repressed emotions. How acknowledging them is often the first step. There's one line in the book that bugs me, but it's still one of my favorites to read to my son. Great book!
