The Thrawn Trilogy

Grand Admiral Thrawn is the epitome of the growth mindset, and in many ways reminds me of Tom Bilyeu with his drive to learn all that he can about his target, creative approach, and extreme loyalty to his people, his company, and the growth mindset. Thrawn goes as far as to decapitate those with a fixed mindset, and promote those with a growth mindset and has a uniquely artistic and studious approach to warfare which he very nearly conquers the rebellion. Favorite Line: "Anyone can make an error, ensign.  But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it."

Peaceful Warrior

Peaceful warrior is very focused on enjoying the journey, and living one's passion. Many of us start with "goals" which are actually meant to be benchmarks or targets.  The most common example are fitness goals.  "I will lose 10lbs" is a TERRIBLE GOAL. Why? Because once you've attained that goal... what do you do?  You cease trying to attain that goal.  What happens?  You backslide back to the previous weight. What if instead, our goal was to develop the daily habits which would result in maintaining a healthy weight? Peaceful warrior is about taking your eyes off the prize, and putting them into the joyous process that will result in that prize. Favorite line:  "The rock." Note:  The books that this movie are based on are also very interesting, and very different.
